Bring a Sandwich, Fuel a Neighbor: Mission Monday, March 2
Can you spare a few minutes to make sandwiches or bag trail mix that will be in someone’s hands the very same evening?
When and where to drop off
Monday, March 2, 2026, from 8:30–10:00 a.m. in the Bethesda UMC parking lot. Volunteers will be on-site to receive donations.
What we’re collecting
- Meat and cheese sandwiches
- Trail mix in individual baggies (no nuts)
Can’t make Monday? Use the Sunday drop-off
If Monday morning is tough, you’re welcome to leave sandwiches in the church refrigerator on Sunday, March 1. Please mark your bag or box with your name and the number of items included.
How your donation helps neighbors today
All items go to Martha’s Table and will be distributed by McKenna’s Wagon across several locations in the District on Monday evening. Your simple prep becomes a ready-to-eat meal for a neighbor experiencing food insecurity.
Also collecting: Little Free Pantry items
We will also collect nonperishable foods for our Little Free Pantry during the drop-off window. Pantry donations can be placed in the church narthex anytime the church is open.
Thank you
This winter has been especially cold and snowy. Your steady care—one sandwich, one baggie, one box at a time—keeps our community warm in the ways that matter most. If you’re already making lunches this week, add a couple more and swing by between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. on Monday. It’s a small lift with a direct impact the very same night.
