What to Expect
Each Sunday evening in Advent, BUMC hosts Evensong in the sanctuary. The service is gentle and contemplative, designed to help you rest in God’s presence when life feels noisy or hard.
- Five songs, prayer, scripture, a brief message and communion
- Acoustic music with three rotating groups of gifted musicians
- The premiere of the song Crowded Table this Advent

- Sundays, Nov. 30, Dec. 7, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21
- 7 p.m., BUMC sanctuary
A Space for Grief and Hope
The final service on Dec. 21 will offer comfort for anyone carrying grief, sadness or loneliness during the holidays. Come as you are and find room to honor what you feel.
Come as You Are
All are welcome. Wear what is comfortable, settle in and exhale. If a friend or neighbor could use a quiet hour, bring them along. Make Evensong your weekly reset and notice how steadying a simple rhythm of song, prayer and silence can be.
