Help Fill the Gap: Mission Monday Food Drive on Jan. 5
Can you spare 20 minutes to make a few sandwiches this weekend? With the cold snap and rising food insecurity, your simple prep can feed a neighbor the very same night. Join our Mission Monday collection on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
Drop-Off Details
When: Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, 8:30–10:00 a.m.
Where: Church parking lot
Can’t make Monday morning?
Leave sandwiches in the church refrigerator on Sunday. Label your bag or box with your name and the quantity. Nonperishable items for our Little Free Pantry can also be dropped in the Narthex whenever the church is open.
What to Bring
- Meat and cheese sandwiches (individually wrapped or bagged)
- Baggies of trail mix
- Nonperishable foods for the Little Free Pantry (shelf-stable items only)
Please label your bag or box with your name and the number of items included.
Where Your Donations Go
Sandwiches and trail mix head to McKenna’s Wagon on Monday evening and are distributed at several downtown locations. Pantry items restock our Little Free Pantry for neighbors who need a quick, no-questions-asked option close to home.
Why This Matters Now
This winter has been especially cold, and need has grown. A fresh sandwich and a simple snack can bridge the gap between meals for someone living outside or on a tight budget.
Quick Next Steps
- Pick up bread, meat, cheese, and trail mix supplies.
- Assemble and label your items.
- Drive through the lot between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Monday for a quick handoff.
Set a reminder, recruit a neighbor or your small group, and swing through the lot Monday morning. A few minutes in your kitchen becomes someone’s dinner the same night.
