Holy Week and Easter

Passover Seder at Congregation Beth El

Join us on March 28 at 7:00 p.m. for an enlightening Seder experience at Congregation Beth El. Our gathering will offer a unique perspective on the Lord’s Supper, delving into how our Jewish neighbors today celebrate seder. Jesus would have observed it before modern Seder traditions emerged in the second or third century. This event isn’t simply about emulating Jesus; it’s an invitation to a Jewish cultural experience.

Our simple meal will include matzoh, hard-boiled eggs, and carrots, providing sustenance for both body and soul. The evening promises enriching conversation, explanations, and contemplative music.

To let us know you are coming, kindly RSVP to shaw@washmorefeet.org. This experience takes place at Congregation Beth El, across Old Georgetown Rd. from our church building.

Good Friday Worship

On Friday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. in our church sanctuary, join us for a unique spiritual experience: our Tenebrae Service. This powerful evening of worship will feature a profound reading of the Passion story, with each verse accompanied by the extinguishing of candles. An immersive event, it’s a time for reflection on the solemnity and significance of Christ’s sacrifice.

Easter Sunday Morning

Celebrate the Risen Christ on Sunday with the sunrise service at 7:00 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., join the Youth Group in hiding the Easter eggs for what will follow after the Easter worship service, a spectacular celebration that takes place at 10:00 a.m. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will follow worship at 11:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you for this celebratory and sacred day.
