Start the Week Serving Neighbors: Mission Monday Sandwich Drive Jan. 5

Have 15 minutes on Monday morning to help a neighbor? Join us for Mission Monday and make a direct impact on hunger in our community.

When and Where

Date: Monday, Jan. 5, 2026
Time: 8:30-10 a.m.
Location: Church parking lot

What to Bring

  • Meat-and-cheese sandwiches (individually bagged)
  • Baggies of trail mix

Please label your bag or box with your name and the total number of items. We’ll deliver everything to McKenna’s Wagon, where volunteers will distribute food at several downtown locations the same evening.

If Monday Doesn’t Work

Drop off sandwiches in the church refrigerator on Sunday. Label your bag with your name and the item count so our team can track donations.

Also Needed: Pantry Donations

We’re collecting nonperishable food for our Little Free Pantry during the same time window. You can also leave pantry items in the Narthex anytime the church is open.

Why This Matters

It’s been a very cold winter, and food insecurity has increased. Your simple, ready-to-eat items keep neighbors nourished and seen—no extra steps required for the person receiving them.

Quick Packing Tips

  • Keep sandwiches simple and fully assembled.
  • Use sturdy bread; wrap or bag each sandwich individually.
  • Seal trail mix in snack-size bags to make distribution easy.
  • Optional: Note common allergens on a slip of paper (for example, nuts, dairy).

We’ll have a collection station in the parking lot—pull in, hand off your labeled bag, and you’re on your way. Thanks for showing up in a practical way for neighbors who could use a warm meal this week.
