BUMC YOUTH
A ministry that empower youth to love God and to make God known in the community where they are.
Our heart and passion at the United Methodist Youth Fellowship at Bethesda UMC is to see every middle and high school student in our community transformed as they encounter the presence of God and experience the life-changing power of the gospel.
We meet together every Sunday night from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Our Youth’s faith is challenged to gather, grow, give and go as part of their discipleship journey. We encourage each other to live the life that God intended for us.
A New Season in Youth Ministry at BUMC
Rev. Shaw has stepped into the role of staff lead for youth ministry at BUMC, bringing a vision of community where every young person feels trusted, heard, and valued as a vital part of the church right now. This spring and summer, youth are invited to join the Confirmation class on Sunday mornings for lively faith discussions; older youth and those already confirmed are welcome as mentors.
For fellowship, Rev. Shaw is planning regular gatherings through a hub partnership with Chevy Chase UMC and Concord-St. Andrews — all are welcome! Additional BUMC-only youth gatherings are also in the works, with more details coming soon.
